Fundance

Curtis was offended I only said that I have a "boyfriend" in my last blog. So everyone, his name is Curtis:)

Anyway, I looove Sundance!! This year is different from last year because I haven't been able to do any celebs hair at PCTV, BUT i've been able to see a few outside!!!

Today was sooooo cool!!!!!! Can I just say how much I love going places with security where you have to show a badge to get in, and all the "regular" people outside try to look through the windows while I lounge on the couch inside watching the MTV interviews. Its the best thing ever. I went to the lounge I had the press pass for again with my mom, and guess who I freaking saw!!
Jake M. Johnson (Nick) from the show New Girl! (don't watch it, its bad) but I LOVE him!!! It was super random/awesome!!!
Here's the pic I snapped. I was DYING!!!
I don't know why, but I'm kind of attracted to him (sorry Curtis) but he's like 5'8, so he doesn't really have a chance with me... anyway..

Then Curtis came up from Provo to hungout!!! Best part of the day:)
We went to the lounge (because I got an extra Press Pass!! WHAT!) And sat around, no one cool came in, but thats ok because I beat him at air hockey...
These are called "bingbags"!!!

After the lounge we were going to meet up with my mom, so we took a bus to a place called "The Frontier" (By the way, during Sundance the bus services are FREE so everyone can get around Park City, it's so nice!) I swear the Frontier doesn't exist. We got off at Eccles Theater, which is actually at Park City High School because we thought we were on the wrong bus(all the stops are named after the theaters that show the films in Park City during Sundance, except for like Main Street) Then we found out by the volunteer at that stop that it really was the right bus, but the next bus would take us there too. So while we waited for the next bus we were talking with this volunteer (by the way there are about 1,800 people who volunteer at Sundance. My   mom is one of them!) and he actually shoots "What Not To Wear"!!! He told me he'd wished he knew me a week ago because they needed me! So now he has my card and cross your fingers you see me on an episode one day.

Curtis and I got on the next bus and rode it for seriously like 45 minutes. The Frontier was supposedly 6 minutes away, but the bus never made a stop by that name, so we just rode the bus around town and talked. It was fun:)

BY THE FREAKING WAY!!! BRADLY COOPER MIGHT BE COMING IN TO PCTV THIS WEEK!!! Cross your fingers he actually does!!!

Until next time (Probably Thursday) oh and sorry about all of these nice babies -> ( .....) I felt like there was a lot of info that needed to be shared in between sentences

Sundance 2012: The First Scoop

Quick Update (because my mom want me to): I moved to Provo, Utah in September, and got to work on an Adobe commercial and film for the Sci-Fi channel, went on a cruise, got a boyfriend, etc etc.

Anyway, Holy awesomeness!! Park City Television invited me back to Sundance this year to style the hair of their morning show hosts and guests who come in for interviews.(I don't know why, I probably wasn't even that good last year) I went into the station on Wednesday, the day before Sundance began, to check in and make sure my styling area was set up. I walked in and talked to the producer to make sure everything was squared away, when he told me that Will Ferrell was probably going to come onto the show on Friday!! I obviously freaked out and called my mom, sister, boyfriend, etc. because come on, Will Ferrell is amazing!!! We all kept our fingers crossed at the station hoping this awesome interview wouldn't fall through. (sometimes hot shots like Will Ferrell decide to just not come in). Friday rolled around and he didn't show:( Apparently he wasn't even coming into town until Monday, so lame! So that was a let down, but hey, its Sundance so who really cares! Thursday, Friday and Saturday passed, and I hadn't done hair for anyone famous, and hadn't seen any celebrities that I could put a name to, so I was a little bummed, when all the sudden an rep from Paul Mitchell came into the station to talk about their new men's line "Mitch"!  I styled her hair with my awesome display of Paul Mitchell product, and she was so excited when she saw what I was using.
After her interview she gave me product from the new men's line, along with a HUGE bottle of the  AH-MAZING Awapuhi Wild Ginger Treatment Oil (my fave).

Then she took her Paul Mitchell "Mitch" vest off her back and gave it to me. HOW AWESOME!!

She then invited me to stop by a special lounge to check out the Mitch set-up they had. After I was done at Park City TV (PCTV) the producer took me with him and a camera crew to the lounge. It was very crowded and not everything was set up yet, and there were other sponsors there so were rude, so I was kind of bummed. It wasn't as cool as  I thought it'd be. Afterwards, we walked uphill in the blizzard (by the way today it is a huge snowstorm outside) up main street to our next location where we were going to an advertisement for Patron (yes, that's vodka. John Paul from Paul Mitchell owns the company). We got to this new lounge and it was wayy better than the last. AND they had mini cupcakes which was awesome. The girl did her segment on how to make some alcoholic drink (sick), then we packed everything up and walked back down main street, in the blizzard, carrying equipment. This next location, we needed a press pass for, so I was thinking i'd have to wait outside, but then they called me up to get a PRESS PASS!!

If you need a press pass to get into something at Sundance, there is obviously something important going on inside. We go inside and I don't see anyone famous. Bummer, but I was still stoked I had this press pass!! Then all of the sudden I look over to see Kate Bosworth sitting down with MTV in an interview. (She starred in Blue Crush and was Orlando Blooms ex on-again off-again girl-friend).

So I snuck a picture of course.

After her interview she was standing next to me in her cute black jacket and adorable shoes. I thought I was so cool. There were some other people you recognize in the lounge, but can't put the name to the face. So I was super excited about that, and just wanted to stay there all day. They had free flavored water drinks, a Puma shirt maker where you pick  what print you want on the shirt, then they made it right in front of you! But, the crew finished filming the segment and we went to another location, which also needed a press badge:) We walk in and guess who I see.. Angela from the Office!! She was literally right in front of me. I smiled at her and she looked at me... awkward. She was TINY!! I think like 5'0, and super bubbly, unlike her character. That was so cool, I LOVE the office.

Then I saw other people who I just couldn't think of what they acted in. After they were done filming another segment, I took a stroll around the room, and guess who I saw.. freaking Kris Keller from ONE TREE HILL!!!!!!

That used to be my favorite show ever so I was in heaven. The ONLY bad thing about having a press badge is that you have to be "professional" and shouldn't take pictures with the celebs.. screw that! But I stayed professional, dang it. He couldn't tell that I was freaking out inside. I'm so cool.

So that's what's up at Sundance! If I ever want to see something cool it has to be during the day because I get up at 4am and go to bed early, but there is a lot of good going on during the day:)
